Summer is a time of sand and salt water. Winter is a time of snow, sand and salt. When it snows the sanding trucks will sand the streets at the beginning and end of a storm. The plows will come by and plow the snow off of the street. Where will this land? On the edge of your lawn. There is now a pile of snow with a dirty sand and salt layer at the top. Once this melts the sand and salt deposits on your lawn causing immediate damage. If this is happening to you, do yourself a favor and skim off the dirty layer of snow and throw it on the edge of the street before it melts onto your lawn!
